We leave for New York, and the home of my brother- and sister-in-law.
We have business in New York, if it can be called that: there's a nephew
to meet and adore, and Dann has a baseball draft for his fantasy league.
Plus, our plane to Scotland leaves from there.
However, I made a tactical error somewhere and decided to finish and submit
a novel in the last two weeks of March, so by April 2nd, I'm functioning
on less sleep and more caffeine than is good for... anyone. I crash on
the plane, in the car on the way to the house, and finally, very soon
after dinner.

A day
of babies and hanging with my sister-in-law, while the boys play their
game. It's good downtime to recover from work and novel-writing. Melinda
and I watch About a Boy, which is good prep for going to England,
because, for example, I learn what Countdown is, and that does
become relevant later on...
